Another Hungry Critter!

We had another hungry visitor in our yard.  This is a Chachalaca (Mexican Pheasant).  Notice all the red berries in this picture.  This plant is the Pigeonberry and Chachalaca love them.  They know when to pay us a visit as this is the first time they have come to the yard this season.

He is getting ready to chow down...watch the berries disappear!

Finally snapped this one before he chuga lugged it.  The pictures were taken out our window so they are a little fuzzy.

Having his fill, he walks off to return another day, giving the flowers time to make another load of berries.

As I was in the middle of this blog, a Hooded Oriole was on the ground helping itself to something delicious.

Will sign off with a few parting shots.  This is a Silver-leaf nightshade.

Widow's tears.

Heart leaf hibiscus.

Scissor-tailed Flycatcher.

Until next time.....
