Sunday Visit

Our youngest son, Mitchell, wife Michelle, granddaughter Lindsey, and grandson Joaquin, stopped by to see us April 12th, Joaquin's 7th birthday.

They had attended a wedding in Tyler, and stopped by to see us.  I ran to Wal-mart and bought Joaquin a birthday cake...he was totally surprised.  We enjoyed our short visit...it will be November before we see them again.

It is now Wednesday...time to hit the road.

The coreopsis were outstanding.

We were on the turnpike in Oklahoma where we stopped for fuel. We had breakfast, and heard someone call out our names.  This is Lloyd Pratt, married to my niece Brenda.  We bought him a cup of coffee and chatted with him for awhile.  It has been well over 25 years since we had seen him...what a surprise!!!  He was there filling the ATM machine and just happened to see us.  We planned to stay at a COE park west of Tulsa, and they were planning on bringing there motor home over to camp with us for the weekend. But...that park is no longer there...it has turned into a Jellystone Park...and it was closed.

We decided to just keep on going North and stop in Chanute, Kansas for a few days...that is where we are now.

Lloyd and Brenda plan on traveling as well, we will just have to get together someplace, someday, sometime!!!

Until next time...
